Tashi Sherpa

Tashi currently works for an educational non-profit dedicated to close the educational equity gap for first- generation, low-income students. Born in New York City with familial ties to Nepal, she holds a bachelor’s degree in international and global studies from Middlebury College, concentrating in global environmental change, Chinese, and food studies. Throughout her bachelor’s, she explored the impacts of climate change on marginalized communities, studied the role of food systems, and conducted a political ecology research paper on the topic of lithium mining. She is committed to supporting grassroots organization focusing on creating access, promoting social justice, and creating space for communities.
