Rodrigo Ítalo Novoa Campos

Rodrigo Ítalo Novoa Campos received his undergraduate degree in social anthropology from the Universidad de Tarapacá in Chile and took courses in sociology at the Universidad de La Frontera. Since 2010 he has served as the coordinator of the Arica-Putre excursion for the Cultural Identity, Social Justice, and Community Development program. Since 2016 he has headed the division on Indigenous Peoples in the Region of Arica and Parinacota at the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage. He has extensive experience working and collaborating with artists and social leaders from different indigenous communities and territories, including Aymara, Quechua, Mapuche, and Tribal Afro-descendants. His areas of interest are territorialities, collective, cultural and land rights, indigenous heritages, and textile art.
