Julia Moore

Julia is from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, currently residing in a remote area of Iceland. She has a bachelor’s in linguistics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a professional background in outdoor education, ecology, photography, and conservation. She is working on her master’s degree in coastal communities and regional development at the University Centre of the Westfjords, researching biodiversity, perceptions of urban blue space, and human ecology. She has worked for many outdoor adventure companies and with organizations like The Nature Conservancy and is excited to be working with SIT.
