Summer’s coming! Apply by April 1
Announcement Date: March 8, 2019
Summer might seem far ahead on the calendar and the thermometer, but time is running short for undergraduates to apply to SIT to spend an extraordinary summer abroad. April 1 is the application deadline for 25 SIT summer programs spanning 17 countries.
Opportunities are wide-ranging and worldwide. They include internship programs in counseling and humanitarian action in Jordan; public health in Kenya; marine ecology and blue carbon conservation in Panama; social justice in South Africa; and nongovernment organizations in Panama and Vietnam.
STEM majors can study energy, technology and resource economics in Iceland; biodiversity and conservation in Bali and Borneo; sustainable design in Jordan; geoscience in Nepal; and climate change in Tanzania. In the development sector, there’s agroecology and food security in India, and global health programs in China, India, Madagascar, and Switzerland.
Humanities options include peacebuilding in Colombia, Uganda and Rwanda, and Argentina; multilateral diplomacy in Switzerland; education and social change in South Africa; Arabic in Morocco; and coursework taught in Spanish in Argentina, Colombia and Panama.
SIT summer programs are sortable by issue, location, and other filters on the SIT Study Abroad program page.
