Claudia Delso Carreira

Claudia is an activist, researcher, and cultural project manager. She is part of the Barcelona Urban Research Institute (IDRA), where she is currently coordinating the project “Doing Comensality,” which proposes a cross between landscape, culture, food, and institutionality to open a dialogue in the city about the relationships that food systems go through in urban environments. The project includes a programme of activities to imagine food systems and their accompanying cultures adapted to the challenges of a just eco-social transition.

She has a degree in art history from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela & Università di Bologna and a postgraduate degree in international cooperation and cultural management & technopolitics and rights in the digital age from the University of Barcelona. As a professional, she has worked in the management, coordination, and accompaniment of cultural and interdisciplinary projects at local, national, and international levels. Between 2015 and 2022 she was a councillor in the A Coruña City Council with the municipalist platform Marea Atlántica. Between 2015 and 2019 she was part of the municipal government of the City Council of A Coruña as Councillor for Participation and Democratic Innovation, where she implemented several radically innovative public policies.
