Trina Lawrence is the assistant director of student care and incident response. She attended Minnesota State University for her bachelor’s degree. She attended Northern Arizona University (NAU) and received her master’s of education in counseling and student affairs, focusing on international student retention and completing her counseling practicum working with NAU’s international student population. After graduating from NAU, Lawrence worked at the University of Maine for four years, before heading to Ohio for the next two years, holding positions from hall director up to the assistant director of residential life with a heavy focus on student care and crisis/incident response. She’s been lucky enough to work in higher education and international education at a multitude of colleges and universities for the past decade, focusing on student wellbeing, support, and crisis management.
As a member of Pulse and Overseas Advisory Council (OSAC), Lawrence has attended conferences such as the Forum on Education Abroad Health and Safety Institute, as well as OSAC Annual Briefings to integrate into her 10+ years working in higher education and international education. She has visited over 20 countries and has language proficiency in Norwegian.
