CONTACT Programs
Summer Peacebuilding Program
The Summer Peacebuilding Program, offered each June, is a three-week, three-credit professional development and graduate training program in conflict transformation. It is specifically designed for field workers and managers of development and community-based organizations who serve communities in often-volatile environments.
Graduate Certificate in Conflict Transformation
The Graduate Certificate in Conflict Transformation is a one-year part-time 14-16 credit graduate and professional development program. It is designed with two short phases of face-to-face instruction coupled with distance learning in order to accommodate the schedule of full-time working professionals.
Master of Arts In Conflict Transformation
SIT Graduate Institute offers two options to pursue a Master of Arts in Conflict Transformation. One of them builds on the CONTACT Certificate Program, shortening the time needed for on-campus work. The other is an MA that does not involve the CONTACT program and involves a longer period of on-campus study.
South Asia Program
Beginning February 2010, CONTACT will offer an annual ten-day CONTACT South Asia for emerging leaders from the eight countries of SAARC (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka). A core course where South Asian emerging leaders can develop professional affiliations and think deeply together about how to build a strong and safe region is in everyone's interest, within and beyond South Asia.
